So, where are we? Same ol', same ol'. Work and play. Pretty excited at the moment as when I went into town today I thought I might as well check the shops on the off chance that they might have the new Pet Shop Boys album early. It doesn't officially come out until next Monday in the UK, but they don't ever seem to care about release dates here in the Netherlands and just put stuff out whenever. Anyway, sure enough, they had a copy of the two-disc special edition. I'm extremely skint at the moment, but took the plunge anyway. I must say, I do not regret it.

Apart from that, I'm caught up in the hype of Eurovision. It's kind of funny as it feels like it's Europe's dirty little secret. I don't really know many other Americans who know about Eurovision apart from those who've lived abroad. I want Finland to win so bad, it's not even funny. Well, I would like Finland and the UK to be in the top two, I don't mind in which order. I don't think that's likely, but in a perfect world, there'd be no other option.

Alison, Max and myself saw "The Da Vinci Code" yesterday. It was good, but not great. I feel the first 2/3 were superior to the last 1/3. But for a summer blockbuster, it's safe to say it won't be the worst choice to see.

Can't think of anything else at the moment. For those of you who don't already know, I'm coming back to the US in the middle of July in time for the After Harvest Festival. Will be good to see some familiar faces. Until then...

Well, loads of things going on, but at the same time, not a lot. Just been really busy with my course.

It will be nice when (if ever) money is not a problem. Spent a good part of yesterday consolidating student loans and a good part of today chasing down money that was owed back to me from De Key. As they do, they forgot to pay me, so I had to go to the graduate office for a short-term loan. Thank God for Roos.

I managed to see a couple of films last week. "Capote," "Lucky Number Slevin" and "V For Vendetta." I enjoyed them all. "Slevin" was a lot more enjoyable than I had imagined, and of course it didn't hurt that Robert Forster pops up in it for two minutes.

Alison, Max and myself went to see Kool Keith at the Melkweg last Thursday. It was everything I could have hoped for, and a bit more. Before he did "Sex Style," he handed me a porno mag. He handed Alison a thong and mentioned Max in a freestyle. All-in-all, nice. Shock of all shocks, Camp Lo are alive and well and will playing here in a few weeks. Looking forward to it.

I guess that's about it right now. I'll try and be better about updating, but like I said, there's a lot going on but not much to talk about. Until next time...

So Queensday was pretty good. Chris came over from Manchester and we all had a fun time. Especially once we found the Anal Terror box. Maybe I should explain?

On Queensday, which is the biggest national Dutch holiday, there are many people on the street selling things. It's kind of like a city-wide garage sale, only there are no garages, only canals. So Alison, Arno, Chris, Matt, Max and myself were walking down the street when we saw a metal box on sale for only two euro. This magical box, with "Anal Terror" enscribed with magic marker on its front, was an obvious choice for purchase.

And I must say, it changed our day. Everywhere we went, people wanted to see the Anal Terror. There was nothing inside, of course, but that didn't mean anything. In the end, we all had fun. And far too much to drink.

Since I haven't posted for a while, I thought I'd at least share some photos from the last month. Here's one from Paris, and there are more if you follow the link to Flickr.
