Sleeping pills. Tired. Sleep.

When I wake up, I better find out that the Tough Enough 2 finale was a bad dream. Well, except for the parts with Bob...

Thursday, May 30, 2002

Well, I drove yesterday and this morning. All I can say is, hey, I'm writing this now, eh? Anyway, class started today, and I think it should go all right. I don't know about this "waking-up-at-6:30AM" business, however...

Yesterday, Adam and I went to Hutchinson and watched "Space Station" in the IMax at the Cosmosphere. It was a pretty amazing movie to watch, mostly for the cinematography. We also went to the planetarium. Cheesy, but fun.

Last night, I couldn't fall asleep at all. I finally got to bed at 2:30AM, which sucked since I had to be up at 6:30AM. And with that, I'm asleep...

Tuesday, May 28, 2002

Well, I just finished watching "Gale Force." As expected, it was your typical Treatmo film. Of course, that isn't exactly a bad thing. It was entertaining for what it was, and I couldn't ask for more. But for now, I guess it's time for bed. Have to get up early tomorrow and fill out some forms at BCCC.

Not much to report from the last few days. Saturday, I went to Victory, and Dave Drake cut my hair. Here I am modelling my sleek, new look. Early yesterday morning I went to Great Bend to pick up the new Eminem at Carroll's. Mom and I ate at Applebee's while we waited for my photos to get done processing at Wal-Mart. Looking at a photo of Ezra and me, I realized how nappy I was starting to get towards the end of the semester. I think this photo of Ezra at the Royals game turned out badass, though.

I spent most of the weekend reading. Other than that, I managed to watch "The Substitute 2: School's Out" and "The Substitute 3: Winner Takes All." This series is starting to become a guilty pleasure. Sadly, I almost can't wait to see "The Substitute 4: Failure Is Not An Option."

I just got done watching "Megiddo: The Omega Code 2." It was all right for the film it was trying to be. Michael York kicked ass, as always, excpet this time he kicked ass as Satan. I know, I'm going to hell, but it's Michael York's fault for kicking so much ass.

Well, it's time to go jog. On the plate for the evening is "Gale Force," another horrible Treat Mo-Williams film that I'm just sure is going to suck. That means I'm going to love it...

At the same time I rented "Donnie Darko," I saw a movie on the shelf called "Rod Steele - Agent 0014: You Only Live Until You Die." As a Bond fan, I was intrigued by this parody. Since it was Dollar Day, I decided to go ahead to get it. Well, as it turns out, the movie was actually a soft-core porn. But you know, I can't say that I minded much... ;)

Thursday night I started on my quest to view the entire Substitute series by beginning with the original, "The Substitute." It was a lot more entertaining than I would have imagined, but I can't say that I have much hope for the next three.

Last night, Knop and Haley came over for a while. It was an enjoyable evening. Uh, I can't think of anything else...

Thursday, May 23, 2002

Again, not much to report. I watched "Seconds" this afternoon. It was nice and depressing.

I watched "Donnie Darko" this evening. Awesome flick. Almost need to watch it again to absorb everything.

Other than that, just trying to keep my sanity. Bought a cool hat for three bucks. Yeah...

Tuesday, May 21, 2002

As per Ellinwood, nothing is going on. I watched the Survivor finale last night and "Skeletons In The Closet" tonight. Yep, that was pretty much it. Going to go read now.

Saturday, May 18, 2002

I'm home. What a trip. Anyway, I'm tired, but I just thought I'd hook up the computer as I'm THAT PATHETIC.

Not much happened today besides the moving stuff. I had breakfast with Crawford, Adam and Keith this morning. Checked out of the dorm around two and had a doctor's appointment at 3:00PM. Didn't end up getting out of there until nearly 4:30PM. I got a Hepatitis A and B vaccine shot in preperation for next year. Have to get another one in a week and then again two weeks after that.

Thursday I smoked the hookah. It was awesome. And with that, I'll leave. Welcome home.

Well, I survived. I had three finals today, the AMS paper to write yesterday, and a final on Monday. Now it's time to just relax. Well, that'll come after I pack everything and move it back home.

Can't really think of much else to say right now. So glad to be done, I can't even explain.

Monday, May 13, 2002

Wow. It's nearly 3:30AM. I just finished reading the book for the AMS final paper. An entire book in under a twenty-four hour period. Damn. See what having a good teacher can motivate me to do?

Not much went on last night. Joe and I learned how to tell Roy Scheider time. SNL was weird. Yep, that was about it. Damn good time, though. Not nearly as fun as Friday night, but then again, not much else will be.

Damn. Time to head to bed. Night.

Saturday, May 11, 2002

As Passman would say, last night was "word." I won't go into all of the details, but I went to the Royals game with Ezra and his friends. For my first professional baseball game, I got kind of lucky, as the Royals shut out the Indians 9-0. Last night was dollar night and fireworks night, so it made for some good entertainment. After the game, we went back to the Doc's place to watch some old school wrestling tapes. Very cool.

Ezra also motivated me to get to work on my final paper. I'm going to try and read the book today and finish the paper tomorrow. It's going to be a lot of work, but I figure it'll be worth the effort.

I have a lot of work ahead of me, so I'm Audi.

Stop Day Eve. It's late. I'm going to bed. Rufus Wainwright rocked Liberty Hall. We finished the video project. Life is safe once again, for the time being...

Thursday, May 09, 2002

Argh... I just had a nice posting, but it didn't go through... The summary... AMS is over. Project due tomorrow. Watched series two of QAF UK. Loved it. Need to go to bed.

Well, I just got done watching series two of QAF UK. All I can say is, "wow." Really, I'd only heard positive things about it never understood what the big deal was. All I can say was that after watching five-and-a-half hours worth of film, the conclusion was ultimately satisfying. Well done.

Managed to finally get some editing done on the the project this morning. It actually might not turn out that bad afterall. Had to film a scene this afternoon to add tomorrow and also made a CD for possible songs on the soundtrack. God willing, it will get done on time.

Wednesday was the last day of AMS. I'm going to miss that class. Dr. Ezra said I could count on him for a good reference. I appreciate that, because I'll probably need it. ;)

Well, it's time for bed. Big day today... I have to finish editing the project to turn in by 5:00PM. The screening is at 6:00PM and the Rufus Wainwright show starts at 9:00PM. Until later...

To quote that one band, "It's been awhile."

I've been busy with school. The video project is due Thursday, and it's pretty much going to suck. Oh well. I did find time in the last few days to finish up series one of QAF UK. It was great. I can't wait to get series two.

I found out that when I fly over to Scotland, I'll have a seven-hour layover in Ft. Worth, TX. What is there to do for seven hours in Ft. Worth?

Harvey Sid Fisher e-mailed me today looking for places to play in Lawrence. I need to get back with him on that...

I'm tired, and I have to get up early, so I'm going to head out. 'Night.

Monday, May 06, 2002

Waiting for Joe to get back so we can go eat. Filmed with his group this morning. Got back and tried to get some sleep before the SUA reception and ended up oversleeping. Managed to get up in enough time to catch a quick shower and head on down.

Last night I watched "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert." Good movie, especially for the camp value.

Sunday, May 05, 2002

Just got back from KC. Went to see "Wisconsin Death Trip" and "Spiderman." Both on different ends of the film spectrum, but both worth watching for their own reasons.

Didn't do much today. Did manage to get some filming done at Day on the Hill, but other than that, just read a little for AMS.

Last night, I rented the first series of QAF UK and "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert." I still have yet to watch all of both. Later.

Friday, May 03, 2002

Boy howdy, am I ever out of it. I worked until 1AM and took some Nyquil. I woke up at 11AM, but I can't say that I'm actually awake. Oh well.

We started filming for Project #4 yesterday. The actress decided not to show up, so we scurried around to find someone else. Lucky for us, a lovely young lady by the name of Wendy was willing to help up. God bless her. And a special thanks to Micheal Younker for being so patient. More filming to come tomorrow. Lots more.

Thursday, May 02, 2002

Another late night. This time, I figured I'd try and be productive. So, I did something I've been meaning to do for quite sometime; I made a page for all of my autographs. To check it out, click here. Not everything is up there, but there's quite a bit.

At 30's tonight, I got to hear a bit of live jazz. It was pretty dang cool. The drummer, Tommy Ruskin, was amazing. They did a sweet cover of "September Song."

All right. Time to head off...

Wednesday, May 01, 2002

Took care of a lot of financial aid stuff this afternoon. Have to go back on Monday to try and find out if I'll get my awards then. Also went in and pre-paid for a transcript to be sent. Good to get the little things out of the way now.

Dr. Ezra was telling everyone their status in the class today. One-by-one, he had us go out into the hall, and he'd tell us how we were doing and what grade we could expect to get. For most people, he said, "If you do well on the final paper, you'll do okay overall." To me he said, "Don't worry about it. The only way you won't get an 'A' in this class is if you don't turn in the final paper. You've done a tremendous amount of work throughout the semester, don't bust your ass on this paper. Just don't fuck up." Very reassuring to hear. Dr. Ezra rocks.

Time for nap.

6AM. That's what time I finally fell asleep last night. I had to get up at 9AM. I didn't get back from work until 3PM. Needless to say, I was tired as hell. I caught another hour's worth of sleep before heading off to the Templin Fellows banquet. Why I'm still up until 3AM, I have no clue.

Not a whole lot went down Tuesday. A lot of planning for the upcoming Basic Video shoot. Did a lot of reading for AMS. I capped off the evening by watching "Due East." It's a new Showtime movie that will premiere on May 12th. You should check it out. Why? Do you need a reason other than the fact that Bob Forster is in it? No. Plus, it's a good flick.

Time to get some rest...
