What a week... Don't know where to start. First of all, I'm no longer residing in Scotland. I'm now living in good ol' Manchester. Really enjoying it so far.

On the Thursday I finished, I saw "The Matrix Reloaded." I really enjoyed it, but I can't say whether or not I liked it better than the original. As its own film, it's good, but as part of a supposedly amazing trilogy, it was okay. Maybe just built up a little.

That Friday, I went to the gym, had dinner with Kirsteen and her mother. Afterwards, I bought a bottle of wine and started packing. John came up the next day around 1PM, we loaded everything up. We had dinner at the MED before heading up the Wallace Monument. The view from the top is absolutely amazing. You can see for miles, even on a not so clear day. That night, we went out for drinks as I said my goodbyes to everyone.

On Sunday, we made the journey down to Manchester, my new home for the next two months.

Over the next few days, I found a job, found a gym, and generally just managed to get as adjusted to the new digs as possible. That's about where we stand for now... ;)

Just copying my files over from the server at the Uni before I leave. Leaving in just a few short hours. Yikes! :)

Wow... just finished my last exam. Therefore, I am no longer academically obligated to the University of Stirling. A nice, bittersweet feeling.

Anyhow, have to leave to go see "The Matrix Reloaded" in Glasgow. Let you know what I thought later...

Wow, it's been a little while. Have been very stressed because of exams as of late. Add to that a major change in my life (leaving Stirling), and I've been a bundle of nerves. It's been an emotional rollercoaster these last few weeks, and with my going away party next Saturday, things will probably only get harder. But, I still have these dang exams before then. I just want to get them done. I know I should be aiming to try my hardest, but since I'll probably just end up with a "B," I just want them out of the way.

On Friday, I went through to Glasgow to watch "The Happiness of the Katakuris" with Norman. I hadn't seen him for several weeks, and since he won't be around for my going away party, this was going to be the last time I would see him before I left for Manchester. And boy, what a film to take someone else to. :) I can't do the film justice by trying to describe it. All I can say is that it's the most bizarre film I've ever seen. But, in a good way...

I spent the night at Will, Michael and Graeme's flat that night. Saturday, I took it easy, going to the pub quiz at four, back to the flat afterwards for a bit more drinking, and then back into Revolver that night.

Stayed with them again. Met Norman for coffee in the afternoon. I really appreciated getting to see him again before I left. Hope to see him again before I head back to the States in July. Missed the earlier train back to Stirling, so I had to kick around Glasgow until the 15:40. By the time I got some milk and waited for the bus, it was nearly 17:00 before I got back to the chalet.

Hope to make it an early night. Have been having trouble getting to bed, so I picked up a few sleeping tablets. Going to call Mom, do some revision and then finally watch some DVD's before I go to sleep.

Here's to the next week going smoothly and hopefully with less stress!

Boy... what a weekend... I have exams next week. But, I realized that if I didn't find a job, I wouldn't be able to stay in the UK for the summer. So, I made the trek down to Manchester for the weekend in hopes of finding employment. The results: I am guarenteed a job for the 26th when I move down, but have to get in touch about other possibilities. Nice to have that sorted, now on to the exams.

Managed to catch a few films this weekend. The first was "Darkness Falls." I'd heard a lot about this one. Maybe I expected too much, but it came off as cheesy and predictable. Don't get me wrong, it was still a fun film to watch, but it was nothing out of the ordinary. Also saw "X2." Now this was much better than I thought it would be. The first one was just... lacking. This one managed to keep me interested the whole way through.

Don't have much else to say besides wishing a happy mother's day to Mom. You know we love you!

Needed to clear my mind, so I went to see "Johnny English." It was okay, but was mostly lacking. Did serve as a bit of a welcome distraction I suppose.

Saturday night, I went to a ceilidh. A ceilidh is a traditional Scottish dance. Had a nice time overall. And yes, I DID actually dance... ;)
