Miss me? Of course. The last few days have been a blast.

Friday, Mom and I went to KC and saw Chris Isaak live at Sandstone. He was awesome. Completely tore the place down. I had the chance to go backstage quickly afterwards and got a picture with him. I'll post it when I get it scanned. It was Mom's first concert, and I'm pretty sure she had a good time.

Last night, I tried some Triple Sec that had been aged for thirty years. Sweet jeebus, that was some potent stuff. Very tasty, though.

Wednesday, I watched "Billy Elliot" and "Out Cold." Thursday, I watched "Kiss Me, Guido." All pretty good films. Well, "Out Cold" was good for the type of bad movie it was trying to be.

Time for some rest.

Wow, sleep would really hit the spot right about now.

I finally finished reading "Trainspotting." Damn, what a good book. Now I really want to re-watch the movie. As hard as it might be to believe, the book was actually a lot rougher than the movie, which made it great...

I also finally got to see "Lilo & Stitch." What a great film! I haven't enjoyed a cartoon that much in a long time. It's great on so many levels. Kids will love it. Adults will enjoy its "harder" edge. Besides all that, you can look at the film from many angles, one being a Frankenstein-type tale of creation/destruction, only a lot more redeeming in the end. I can't praise this film enough... And Stitch is just so damn lovable!

Time for sleep. Night.

Ben Folds on Friday. Good.

Whip-It. Whip-It. Good.

Wow. That's about all I can say for Saturday. I had a great time at Aaron's birthday party, no thanks in part to the Captain. Anyway, saw a lot of people that I haven't seen for awhile, bought a pipe from Seventh Heaven and had a truly fun time.

Nothing much happened Sunday. Got back from Lawrence around 1:30PM... That was pretty much it...

Oh yeah, I got a 98% on my test from Friday.

Not much up. Took a test this morning. Yeah.

Watched "George B." the other afternoon. It was a lot better than I had imagined it to be. The ending was a little lame, but it was enjoyable overall.

This afternoon I finally got to watch "Bedrooms & Hallways." It was pretty cool. Wouldn't mind watching it again soon.

Looks like I'm headed to Lawrence tomorrow night for a party at Passman's house. Should be a good time. Word.

Yesterday was my twentieth birthday. Didn't really do anything special. Went to the eye doctor to see about getting contacts. Mom and I went to Applebee's for dinner. Got a free movie from Carroll's. I've watched "True Blue," "Lover, Come Back" and "Send Me No Flowers" in the last twenty-four hours.

I'm just mad as it's storming out, and the rain has caused me to miss most of tonight's episode of "The Mole." Damn.

Ezra e-mailed me today though. Definitely have to get back to him.

Sunday night. What a weekend. Didn't do anything. Watched "Under Oath" last night. Besides that, I swam a couple of time and, ooh, went to Raymond Bridge.

Yeah, I know. Envy me.

Skyy Blue. Word.

I saw "The Broken Hearts Club" today. It was funny.

I also watched "Double Take" this afternoon. It was hilarious, as well.

I took a test this morning. I'm spent.

Thursday, June 06, 2002

I just finished "L.I.E." Damn. That's all I can say. Definitely a flick worth watching if you have an open mind...

Well, I have a test tomorrow that I should be studying for. That means it's time to go read "Trainspotting."

Another night, another time I can't sleep.

Today was all right. Didn't get much done, but I did get to talk with Dale for a bit. Also, my Harvey Sid stuff showed up today. You're the best!

I also finally got the sound clip of Robert Forster saying "May The Fors Be With You" on the computer. Check it out.

Woke up not too long ago, and I can't fall back asleep. Damn.

I finally watched "The Substitute: Failure Is Not An Option" this evening. It was all right. I'm almost sad that I finished out the series already. Here's hoping for a fifth installment...

Before that, I caught "Castaway" and "Charlie's Angels." All I can say is that Sam Rockwell is the man.

Time to try and get more sleep...

Yeah, well the last few days have pretty much sucked. I hate this town. All I can say that I've done is watched a couple films. I saw "A Very Brady Sequel" yesterday afternoon. It was all right, not as good as the first one, but not the world's worst movie. Today I watched "Cash Crop" and "Where's Marlowe?". They were both pretty good, especially "Marlowe." The common connection between them was John Slattery. Mos Def was hilarious, too.

Tonight will most likely suck. I'll probably just end up watching the last film of the "Substitute" series. Hooray...
