I hate essays...

Watched "Cléo de 5 à 7" for Post-War European Cinema yesterday afternoon. I was absolutely blown away. Everything about it is wonderful, especially the music. Will have to try and track it down on DVD.

Had scampi for dinner tonight. Was still hungry afterward, but realized that I had yougurt in the fridge. Now that rocked...

What an amazing weekend in Glasgow. Words wouldn't be able to detail the great time I had, so I won't even try.

But, it's back to reality. Work was an incredible drag last night, and I have the essay due for next week. Not to worry. Once it's done, it'll be a little bit of time of in Amsterdam for yours truly. If only I can get this essay done quickly...

Still reeling from Sunday. Woke up early to work on my Reading Film and Television Essay. Made the trip to Edinburgh in the afternoon, only to realize there'd be no way to make it back to Stirling that night. We put that thought aside for the moment and tried to find the venue. Finally found the Corn Exchange and waited for the show to start. Trilby opened again, and I must say that they have improved. Their stage presence is much better. As per usual, Tenacious D totally killed the place. Their set was amazing. We left a bit early and managed to catch a train to Glasgow. We figured we'd have a better chance overnight in there since we know it much better than Edinburgh.

Got in to Stirling the next morning right around 10:00AM, just in time for class. Was tired all day, but managed to finish up both of my essays in the evening. Went to the library to get started on the next one, but took time after to celebrate St. Patrick's Day by having a pint of Guinness.

Went to see "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind" yesterday. Those of you who know me realize that I'd been waiting for this film for nearly a year. Needless to say, it didn't let me down. Go watch it. Bask in the coolness of Sam Rockwell.

Drank way too much last night, which is a shame, because I didn't even really end up having a good time... Oh well.

Went to the gym earlier and will probably make pancakes for dinner. Need to get crackin' on my essay tonight. Going to see Tenacious D in Edinburgh tomorrow, so I need to get as much done as I can tonight.

Just finished watcing "An American In Paris" at the MacRobert. I'd seen it before, but I can't say I liked it. Maybe it was watching it on the big screen or maybe it's the fact that I was only fifteen when I first watched it, but I really enjoyed it this time.

Other than that, just busy trying to get some essays done. I have some fun things coming up over the next few weeks, but that means I have to bust myself now... Oh well, work hard, play hard... ;)

Have been really sick the last few days. Called in sick for work on Tuesday night as I knew there wasn't a possiblity of me lasting until the end of my shift. Ended up sleeping fourteen hours that night. Ended up going to work yesterday. Still not feeling great, but better than I had been. Trying to get some revision done on my essay for Post-War European Cinema. Should be okay.

Slowly recovering from a wonderful night out in Glasgow. Went and saw "Jackass: The Movie" and "Adaptation." Both are great films, each in their own very individual ways... Have to work later, and with as tired as I am, it'll probably be a looong night.
