Watched "Once Were Warriors" for Gender and Representation yesterday morning. Good film, but not exactly the most uplifting start to a Monday...

What a lazy weekend. Went to see "City of God" at the MacRobert yesterday afternoon. It was seriously one of the best films I've seen in ages. Highly recommended.

Ended up doing my laundry yesterday night. That was about it.

Woke up late today and went to the gym. Made pancakes for dinner. Very nice.

Anyone who has been around me in the last two weeks knows how big of a Pet Shop Boys fan I've become. After borrowing one of Matthew's CDs, I became hooked. I purchased my first PSB CD this week. I figured that since "Disco 3" just came out a few weeks back, I'd get that one. Imagine my disappointment when I found out that it was copy protected. Since I couldn't bring everything over across the Atlantic with me, I left my CD player back home and depend mostly on my MP3 player to listen to music. Since this CD is copy protected, I can't listen to it. I'm going to try and find a way around it. Otherwise, I have to send it back. Such a nuisance.

Watched "Germany Year Zero" for Post-War European Cinema yesterday afternoon... What can I say... It's not an... umm... uplifting film. But it's still great.

Back for another busy week. A cold knocked me OC for most of last week, but that didn't stop me from keeping busy. I worked both Tuesday and Wednesday and was absolutely shattered by Thursday. That night I saw "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers." I really enjoyed it, but I wish I had time to read the books. Friday night I went out with Kirsteen and Denise for a few drinks. Saturday, I made the trek to Glasgow to watch "Undercover Brother" and "The Ring." I must say that I was sort of disappointed in "Undercover Brother," but was very impressed with "The Ring."

Back from Manchester. Greeted by good ol' Scottish weather, i.e. it's cold and rainy. The chalet is full again. Looks like the week will be a busy one. I start class soon and begin working tomorrow evening.

Snow. Everywhere. Cold. Want to go. To gym. But. So. Damn. Cold...

Just finished watching "The Third Man." After the disappointment of last night's film, it was nice to go back to a classic. Seeing it on the big screen made it all the better.

Just finished watching "Spider" starring Ralph Fiennes. Now, I enjoy Ralph in all of his films, but even he wasn't good enough to save this one. It lurched along at such an appallingly awkward pace that any moment of interest was quickly replaced by scenes of scilence. To put it bluntly, don't waste your time with it unless you feel you have ninety minutes of life to spare.

Still trying to recover from a thirty-hour "day" in Glasgow that started Thursday around 6:00PM and ended Saturday morning at about 1:00AM... Needless to say, a fun time was had by all. :)
