It's nearly 5:30AM and I can't get back to sleep. In a feign attempt to tire myself, I've got online to check my e-mail and possibly even do a bit of work on my grad school application. Although, how dangerous could that be to my chances, an early morning attempt at completing it? Will definitely fact check in the light of day...

Saw "Stealing Harvard" the other day. Had been meaning to watch it for a while. Not a bad film, but not the best either. Tom Green managed to find a good balance with his performance, or at least so I thought.

Hopefully after a bit more rest, this cold will be well on its way to the history books. I'm sick and tired of being... sick and tired.

Just dropped $136.62 on my textbooks for this semester. That being said, there are still two courses that I don't have the lists for, so that total could increase. Still, at this point, buying them online saved me having to shell out $149.25 to the KU Bookstore. That total, however, would have been if I could get ALL the books used through them, which just wouldn't happen anyway, as it's hard to even get the new ones sometimes. So you can see why I'm not too unhappy with the $136.62.

Was supposed to go bowling with Joe and Caroline last night, but things changed so we just enjoyed a dinner at Kaspar's along with a few pints. The Iowa results were in while we were there. :( Go Dean!

Need to get to work on my grad school application again. Taking antibiotics at the moment, so I'm a little drained for energy. Gives me a good excuse to stay in from the cold as much as possible.

Speaking of which, I miss the gym, but I think I'll just enjoy the time that I have an excuse for not going while I can. I've put on a couple of pounds over the break since I haven't been able to go, but I'm not too bothered. I guess there are all times when we might succomb to the cravings. ;)

Well, I've been back for a few days now, but I'm still not here mentally. My mind is still lodged in Manchester. Somewhere between the Arnadle and Piccadilly, I reckon. I suppose I just have to do my best to readjust.

Friday the 9th, I went to see "Taboo" with John and his friends at the Lowry. I really enjoyed it and am sad to hear that it won't be on Broadway much longer. Would definitely like to see it again for sure. Spent that Saturday out on the town and that Sunday relaxing. ;)

That Monday, I learned that seafood merchants are called "Fishmongers." That rules.

Tuesday, John and I returned to Velvet for one of the fantastic dinners.

How I'd love to be back...

Well, after the weekend in Glasgow and resting over the last few days, I've managed to get a spot of work done this afternoon. I know I'm on my holiday, but I desperately needed to sort some things out in regards to my grad school app, so I did that today. Still a long way from finished, but at least I've got a for things taken care of.
